Welcome to my fictional worlds! Teacakes, Trysts, and Trail Dust was born from my love of the Victorian and Edwardian eras—across oceans and prairies—with a few modern stories stirred in for good measure. Through my writing, I explore romance - second chances and new love, thrilling Wild West adventures, the intrigue of the circus and séances, and the enchantment of fairy lore. With these tales, I take you back to a time when letters carried good news (and secrets), ballrooms held unspoken hopes, and the veil between the real and the magical felt just a bit thinner.
My hope is to transport you to Victorian and Edwardian parlors, enchanted forests, flickering circus tents, and dusty frontier trails and towns. Within these posts (and later books and short story collections), you’ll find a blend of sweet historical (and sometimes contemporary) romance, mischievous fairy tales, and adventures on the trail and in the circus. Whether you're drawn to the language of flowers, timeless love stories, daring journeys, or the whispers of the unseen, I invite you to step into a world where history, folklore, and imagination intertwine.
