Fiction

Stories that explore the beauty of nature - the secret language of the flowers and trees.
Glimpses of life in the Victorian era - some romance, but also slices of life from the lower to upper classes.
Stories that wander beyond the usual shelves—contemporary tales, fantasy, science fiction, thrillers, and anything else that refuses to be neatly filed away.

Silvercrest Summit Series
Contemporary Small-Town Romance
Series In Developement
Welcome to Silvercrest Summit, a small mountain community where the views are breathtaking, the neighbors know far too much about one another, and the past has a habit of finding its way home.

Set against the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains, the Silvercrest Summit series follows the lives and loves of the people who call this close-knit community home. Old flames return, carefully guarded hearts begin to thaw, and second chances sometimes arrive when they’re least expected.

Each story blends small-town warmth, family ties, friendship, and romance with characters carrying histories they haven’t quite left behind. From familiar Main Street businesses to snowy mountain roads and community traditions, Silvercrest Summit is a place where lives intertwine—and where starting over doesn’t necessarily mean leaving the past behind.

The first novel in the series is a second-chance romance featuring Jake and Mia, two former sweethearts discovering that some stories aren’t finished after all. In the mountain town of Thistle Creek, old loves, complicated histories, and second chances have a way of finding their way home.

Verena Applebaum
and the Case of the Stolen Scarab
YA Historical Mystery - Short Story Series
Nearly Complete
A murder. A scarab beetle. And a mystery waiting in 1920s Cairo.
Cairo, 1922. Nineteen-year-old Verena Applebaum has finally convinced her reluctant mother to let her accompany her Egyptologist father on an archaeological dig outside Cairo. Between ancient tombs, glittering artifacts, and the distracting presence of her father’s handsome assistant, Niall, Verena expects adventure—but not murder.

When a valuable bracelet disappears from their latest collection, followed by a priceless emerald scarab, suspicion begins to circle the household of the wealthy British couple sponsoring the excavation. Then Lady Chattleton is found dead, and the missing scarab may hold the key to how she was killed.

With servants whispering, guests hiding secrets, and more than one person with reason to want the artifacts for themselves, Verena begins asking questions someone would rather she leave alone. Fortunately, she has Niall at her side—and Bastet, a clever Siamese cat with an uncanny habit of appearing wherever trouble is hiding.

A cozy historical mystery of archaeology, secrets, and murder beneath the Egyptian sun.

The Sullivan Sisters
Historical Western Adventure - Short Story Series
Work In Progress
After losing their parents on the trail west, found sisters Fran O'Connell and Izzy de Laurent arrive in the rough mining town of Thistle Creek with little more than each other. Resentfully taken in by Fran's uncle, Enoch Sullivan, they quickly discover that family does not always mean safety—and survival in the American West will require more courage than either imagined.

With help from an unlikely circle of allies, including the formidable Madam Sue Soderburg, the sisters begin carving out lives of their own. Along the way, they encounter outlaws, injustice, danger, and the everyday hardships of a frontier town where the law doesn’t always reach those who need it.

The Sullivan Sisters is a series of interconnected historical Western short stories following Fran and Izzy as they grow from vulnerable newcomers into capable, determined women willing to stand up for themselves—and eventually, for the people of Thistle Creek.
